Volcanoes

This morning, when I got out of bed and went downstairs for breakfast, I thought of what I should write for a post today: it was going to be about Volcanoes. I didn't know so much about Volcanoes so my mother and I looked up Volcanoes and learned a lot. So now that I know about Volcanoes I will share it with you.

I going to list ten things about volcanoes.

  1. Magma is molten rock.
  2. When Magma comes out of a volcano it turns into lava.
  3. Volcanoes form where there are cracks in the earth's crust.
  4. Pyroclastic volcanoes are the worst volcanoes in the world, they make explosions of ash and gas that can be more powerful than a mushroom cloud from an atomic bomb.
  5. Shield volcanoes are lava flows like in the volcanoes in Hawaii.
  6. The Ring of Fire is all the volcanoes that go around the pacific ocean's plate.
  7. Plate tectonics are all the pieces of the earth's crust that move against each other and cause volcanoes and earthquakes.
  8. The core is in the middle of the earth
  9. I saw a movie about Pompeii and the volcano there, the worst one -- a Pyroclastic volcano.
  10. When lava hits water it turns black and disgusting.
I think volcanoes are one of the most scary things that can happen to anyone on earth. JUST WHY DOES GOD DO THIS TO US! And also just to say the biggest volcano in the solar system is on Mars! I am happy I don't live there!

  1. Remember when we saw Journey to the Center of the Earth in 3D together? Well, even though it was fiction and not really about what your talking about in your blog, per se, your blog post reminded me of it. Especially like the part about the volcano on Mars.
